Mama herself. As our soon to be hungry customers sleep peacefully in their beds, Heidi is up and out the door before the sun has risen. Baking all your favorite treats like the Cinnamon Sour Cream Muffin or Maple Pecan Scones, you will be hooked after the first bite! Once all the treats are out of the oven, Heidi heads over to the stove, ready for the meal orders to start filling through. From baker to head cook, she makes the impossible look possible.
Sage Shimshak

Sage has been part of the team since he was 9 years old. His first job was delivering fresh muffins and breadsticks, in the early morning hours, on the back of his bicycle. Now, he is baking up our yeasted baked goods. Sage spends his day kneading, proofing and baking several pounds of flour daily. From our one-of-a-kind Breadsticks and Buttermilk Biscuits, to our rolls, waffles and sourdough pancakes, he is kept busy baking up fresh delicious food for all of Ukiah to enjoy!
Dixie Shimshak
SERVER/BARISTA
When a question needs answering, or a problem needs solving, everyone turns to Dixie. Dixie was born the month we opened the cafe and has grown-up with the restaurant business flowing through her veins. From the front of the house to the back, she keeps the cafe moving smoothly. Look for her warm friendly smile either behind the bakery counter pulling espresso shots, in the dining room serving hot delicious food, or over the hot stove scrambling eggs. Dixie is the thread that stitches it all together.
